Farm water engineering · Australia
Water where your property needs it.
RDJ Engineering designs irrigation systems, tank filling systems, bore and stock water supplies, and pumping for farms and rural properties — sized properly from the start, so it works on the hottest day and does not cost a fortune to run.
What we do
Water systems for farms, and design work for anyone
Irrigation design
Drip, sprinkler, pivot and flood systems laid out and sized so every block gets the water it needs at the pressure it needs.
Tanks and automatic tank filling
Header and storage tanks that keep themselves topped up from a bore, dam or creek — no walking out to switch the pump on.
Bore and stock water
Bore pumps, pressure systems and trough supply sized for the stock you run and the summer you get.
Solar water pumping
Pumps that run off panels where mains power is a long way off, with enough storage to ride through cloudy days.
Dam, creek and river pumping
Transfer pumps for moving water between storages, lifting it to higher ground, or filling tanks from a surface source.
Other engineering design
Pumps, pipework and water systems for anyone who needs them — workshops, councils, small industry and builders.
How it works
From a phone call to water running
Step 1
Tell us about the job
Where the water comes from, where it has to go, and how much you need. A rough idea is enough.
Step 2
We design it
Pump selection, pipe sizes, tank size, power supply and controls — worked out properly, not guessed.
Step 3
You get a clear proposal
What to buy, what it costs to run, and why — in plain language you can take to a supplier or installer.
Step 4
Supply and support
We can supply the equipment and help with installation and commissioning, or hand over the design for your own team.
Why it matters
A pump that is the wrong size costs you every day it runs
Too small, and the far end of the paddock goes short or the tank never quite fills. Too big, and you pay for power you do not use, wear out the pump early, and burst fittings that were never meant for the pressure.
Getting it right means working out the real duty: how much water, how far, how high, through what pipe, and on what power. That is the part we do — so you buy the right equipment once.
Want to size a pump yourself first?
Our online pump finder takes your flow and pressure, suggests the right kind of pump, sizes it against real performance data, and works out the motor to drive it. Free to use, no sign-up.
